Hyperthyroidism Study
A new hyperthyroidism study is available at Helping Hands Health Center and Clinical Research. Call our team to learn more about the study and its eligibility requirements.
What is hyperthyroidism?
Hyperthyroidism, also called an overactive thyroid, occurs when the thyroid makes more thyroid hormone than the body needs. It can affect energy levels, heart rate, and how the body uses energy.
Common symptoms may include
- Unexplained weight loss, sometimes with increased appetite
- A fast or irregular heartbeat
- Feeling nervous or irritable, or having trouble sleeping
- Shaky hands, tiredness, or muscle weakness
- Increased sweating or sensitivity to heat
Symptoms vary and can have other causes. A healthcare professional can evaluate your symptoms and check your thyroid function.
Participation is voluntary and depends on the study’s eligibility requirements. Our bilingual team can answer your questions.
